THE RACE ROUTE 

 

The flat route begins at the Mystic Valley Regional Charter School Athletic Facility at 576 Eastern Ave, Malden, MA.  Starting at Cross St, the route goes clockwise out and right down Salem St through Maplewood Square.  It turns right at Spruce Street and then also at Webster Street heading left onto Maplewood.  From Maplewood, it will go right onto Eastern Ave all the way past the MV Athletic Facility to Ferry Street, right at Malden High School and back onto Salem wrapping up back down Cross St for the finish.  Participants of all abilities are welcome to run or walk!  There will also be kids races at the MV Athletic Facility field.

 

Prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 Male/Female Runners, the Top Male/Female Ages 15-18, the Top Male/Female Ages 11-14, and the Top Male/Female Ages 10 and Under.

 

Friends and neighbors are invited to cheer us on.  If you live along the route, please step out and join the fun!

TIMING 

 

Granite State Timing will be managing the race and providing chip timing to all registered participants.

 

REGISTRATION

 

REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Online registrations through September 29th are $25 (plus a small processing fee) and include a race T-shirt.  For any spots remaining, registrations will be accepted both at registration pick up locations noted below and on Race Day for $30, t-shirts provided if available and only cash will be accepted.  Kids races at the Athletic Field are free.  Registration fee is non-refundable.  Race will be a rain or shine event.  The use of headphones while participating is discouraged.

 

Registration will be capped at 500.  Online Registration will close on 9/29 at 11:00 pm.    

Registration packet pickup will take place as follows:

  • Thursday, October 3 - 3-4pm @ Mystic Valley Regional Charter School Main Campus, 4 Laurel St, Malden (Blacktop @ Pickup)

  • Friday, October 4 - 2-6:30pm @ Marathon Sports, 401 Main St., Melrose 

  • Saturday, October 5 - 10-2pm @ Marathon Sports, 401 Main St., Melrose

Please park in one of the following areas:​

  • Salem Street

  • Eastern Ave

  • Mystic Valley Athletic Facility Parking Lot
